Our Christmas 2006

Well, try as we may, Santa managed to find the kids. We tried to tell Santa that the kids were too naughty and didn't deserve presents this year, but I guess he felt otherwise.

KeLee got a Dora Scooter...

Devan got a Gravedigger Monstertruck...

& KeLauna got a glowing teddybear from Santa Clause.

Devan & KeLee each got a blanket from Mommy and Daddy. Devan's was an electric matress cover to keep his bed warm and keep him in his bed and out of ours. KeLee's was a Tinkerbell comforter that she's been wanting for a while, so she was happy to finally get it.

KeLauna got a bunch of small toys such as teethers, and rattles from Mommy and Daddy. All of the kids got new clothes, underwear and socks from Grammy, Nana, and Great Grandma & Grandpa Leitner. Here are a few of them.

The kids got some toys from Grandma-ma too. Devan got a cars book for his leap pad, KeLee got a Lulu the letter spinning spider, and KeLauna got a Glow worm that sings lullabies. They all loved them!

Grandma-ma also sent a present for Justin & I. It was a cookie jar with cookie dough. It was a two in one. Justin likes the cookie dough, and I like the jar.
Anyway, I hope that everyone else had a wonderful Christmas, and that the new year is healthy and prosperous for everyone!

KeLee's Christmas Dress

I know it's still early, but KeLee's new Christmas dress is so cute, I just had to share.

Deer Hunt

Justin and his Dad went on the deer hunt in October. They took Devan with them. He is only four years old, and loved every minute of it! I think he needed a little "boy time". These are some cute pictures of him enjoying his time with Daddy & Grandpa.

KeLauna Marie says "Hello!"

I went into the hospital Thursday morning (Aug 3, 2006) at about 6:30 am, to be induced. She was born at 3:21 pm.

KeLauna Marie Leitner
8 lbs 2 oz
19.5 inches long

I will try to post some of her 1st photos as soon as possible.

Although I did expect her to be larger than my other two, who were both 6lbs 9oz, I did not expect her to weigh over 8 lbs. But, I survived and she is doing great!

The PKU showed that her Biliruben level was high, so the hospital sent us home with a portable billi light. We had to use one for KeLee so we already knew how to use it. Unfortunately, KeLauna didn't keep the sunglasses on any better than KeLee did.

I will post some pictures of her in the "suitcase" also.

Let's see if this works.

Still no baby!

Well, nope, no baby yet. I actually made an appointment with my doctor to be induced tomorrow. My due date is Saturday, Aug 5th. Which is only 3 days away, so the fact that they are going to induce me tomorrow is wonderful.

I am so tired of being pregnant!

Anyway, I'll let you all know how it goes and what I have.

Think good thoughts for me!

Quick update

Okay, so I still haven't had the baby yet, but don't worry, I still actually have 3 weeks left as of today. Devan and KeLeeMae were both 2 weeks early, so there is a good possibility that this one could be too. My birthday was last week and my husband's grandmother sent me $50. I decided to use it to buy things for the baby, because even though I've had 37 weeks to prepare, I haven't. I have so many things left over from when Devan & KeLee were babies, that I don't know what all I really need. I decided to buy a couple outfits for a boy & a couple for a girl, just so that the baby has something of his/her own to wear home from the hospital.

I ended up with 3 outfits for a boy, and 3 for a girl. I still have a few things on layaway, but I don't have to have them right now anyway. I also bought one package of newborn diapers, and a can of formula so that the baby has those for when he/she comes home. My mother-in-law bought me some new bottles. I searched through all of the bottles at WalMart, Target and K-Mart to find out which ones I wanted. I settled on the Evenflo Elan bottles. They are a little pricey (about $4/ bottle) but they seem really unique. They seemed to be the best out of the options I had to chose from.

I am planning to work for about another week, and then continue from home until I have the baby. At that time, I will take about 2 weeks off, and then continue working at home for the rest of August, at least. Because I chose not to find out if it is a boy or a girl, I chose not to have a baby shower. Therefore, I have decided to have a baby welcoming instead. My friends and family have all been upset at me for not finding out so that they could buy things for the baby, so I figured that if I waited until we knew for sure, that would smooth things out a bit. I don't know for sure when I will have it, because I have to have surgery about 6 weeks after the baby is born, to repair a hernia. I am hoping that my mom can come up to help with the kids while I recover. It should be sometime in late August, or early September. So I'll probably have the welcoming party earlier rather than later.

Anyway, I will try to let everyone know when the baby gets here. I am still looking for a boy's name. Anyone that has a suggestion, please let me know.

Thanks!

Diploma

I received my diploma yesterday. I now have a paper to show that I have an Associates degree in Business Administration. I graduated 2 months ago, but now I actually have something, besides a student loan debt, to show for it.

Yeah!!

Now tell me that's not just wrong!

The results of this name generator are scary, I just happen to have access to large amounts of curdled milk, and Justin usually has a pretty good stash of bottle rockets.

If one of us comes up missing, I guess you know what that means! J/K

Graduation

For those of you who don't know, I have been taking a series of college courses over the internet for the last 13 months. I am finally finished!! I will have a graduation on May 6, 2006 where I should be awarded with an Associates degree in Business Management. It may not be much, but at least I finally did something after high school. Any of you who would like to get more info about it, that I haven't already sent it to, let me know. I think I already sent it to my Mom and to Ryan, but you never know, someone else may want to know about it. Anyway, Congratulations to me!!

Alright, I've been pregnant for close to seven months now, and have not posted anything about it yet. I found this counter box on snugglepie.com which I actually got from Melissa's blog. I don't know if it will work in this location or not, but it's cute anyway.

Against Justin's wishes, I have decided to keep the sex of this baby a surprise. The reason for this is that we already have a boy (Devan, 3 1/2 years) and a girl (KeLeeMae, 22 months). Although we have not agreed on a name for a girl, we have one for a boy. Justin is really hoping that it is a girl, but if it is a boy, he can't exactly return it.

The downside of this pregnancy has been that I have to go through the hardest part of it being fat, and uncomfortable in the middle of the desert heat. The upside is that the baby will be here before the hottest part of the summer, August.

Wish me luck making it that far! It is only about 3 more months, right?

My Johari Window

http://kevan.org/johari?name=NikkiKeLee

Use the link above to add to my Johari Window. For those of you who may not know what a Johari Window is, here is a brief summary.

The Johari Window was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up.

By visiting this URL, you will be asked to select 5 or 6 adjectives that you would use to describe me. If you know me well enough to add to this, please feel free. You can set up your own Johari Window when you're done.

Muppet Personality Test

Okay, I'm not sure if this test really works or not. I got it from Ryan's Blog and he was a Kermit. I took it and turned out to be a Kermit also. We are very similar in our personalities, but if someone else takes it and turns out to be a different muppet, please let me know.
